Gas Boilers

A gas system boiler is a heating system that uses a hot water storage cylinder to provide both central heating and domestic hot water. Unlike combi boilers, which heat water instantly on demand, system boilers store pre-heated water for later use. This makes them particularly well-suited for larger households with multiple bathrooms and high hot water demands.

Energy Efficiency

  • By law, all new boilers in Ireland are condensing boilers.
  • Over 90% efficient.
  • Boilers over 10 years old can be as low as 60% efficient.
  • Gas boilers are also compatible with heating controls helping you cut bills and reduce your carbon footprint.

How Does a System Boiler Work?

  • Water is heated and stored in a hot water cylinder (usually in your hot press).
  • As long as there’s hot water in the cylinder, it can be sent to multiple taps at the same time.
  • Programmable controls can let you preheat water in advance, so you never have to wait.
